Aclasta Infusions

Aclasta is a convenient, once a year, infusion treatment for osteoporosis. It is a funded prescription medicine, which is given by a nurse and takes approximately an hour to administer. Please see your doctor to discuss whether this is a good option for you.

Unfortunately we are unable to process Aviation Medicals until the beginning of August.  If you require your Aviation Medical before this timeframe there is a list of examiners on the CAA website.  We are able to book Aviation Medicals from the beginning of August.

Blood Tests (Phlebotomy)

Blood test services (phlebotomy) are available Monday to Friday with our trained phlebotomists.

Bloods are sent to Southern Community Laboratories for analysis. Results are then reviewed by your doctor and are made available to enrolled patients via ConnectMed, or by text or phone.

With the exception of some specialised tests, most lab results are available within a few days.

Driver License applications require you to complete a medical declaration stating if you have any conditions that may affect your ability to drive safely. Depending on the nature of the condition, you may be required to obtain a medical certificate in support of your application. Fine Needle Aspirations

A fine needle aspiration is a type of biopsy procedure. The procedure uses a thin, hollow needle to remove samples of tissue or fluid from an organ of the body, or a lump found under the skin. Once the samples of cells have been removed, they are sent to the laboratory for further testing. Dr Simon Brebner is approved and trained to offer this procedure.

Our doctors perform a range of minor surgical procedures including skin cancer removal, removal of moles and skin lesions, toenail resections, as well as contraceptive device insertions and vasectomies.

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat scripts can be organised for registered patients only. If you are a visitor, or we have not prescribed the medication for you before, you will need to see a doctor.

Skin Checks

Safe Skin by Aspiring Medical Centre offers advanced, evidence based skin cancer detection, using techniques recommended by the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. 'Spot Check' and 'Skin Scan' use digital dermoscopy and 'Skin Snapshot' uses Total Body Photography. All three of these techniques facilitate the detection and treatment of skin cancer, before it becomes a threat to your health. Spirometry is a test used to assess lung functionality. It measures the amount or speed at which air is inhaled and exhaled. Spirometry is used to diagnose asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other conditions that affect breathing. Our nurses have received specialised training, which enables them to perform this test.
