We also share a roster with Wanaka Medical Centre to ensure that there is a weekend clinic operating and an after hours doctor available 24/7.
MONDAY TO FRIDAY
8.30am-6pm
SATURDAY & SUNDAY
The duty medical centre is open 9am – 12 noon and 3pm – 6pm every weekend.
AFTER HOURS
We have a doctor on call after hours every day of the year. Our telephone diverts to an experienced nurse triage team who will assess your problem, give advice and call the doctor and/or ambulance if that is required.
You can make an appointment by phoning 443-0725 during clinic hours. Standard appointments are for 15 minutes. If you are a registered patient, then you can also book your appointments online, using ConnectMed. Please click here to find out more.
Longer appointments
If you feel that you may need longer or have several things to discuss, then please book a double appointment. Extended appointments are needed for:
Please discuss your needs with our reception staff when you make your appointment. There is an additional charge for longer appointments.
Urgent Appointments
During clinic hours we will always do our best to fit in urgent cases. Please tell reception if you are seeking urgent care. It may be helpful to discuss the urgency of your problem with one of our nurses. After hours our phone diverts directly to an experienced nurse triage team who can assist you and call the duty doctor and/or ambulance if required.
Please telephone reception if you cannot attend your appointment. At least two hours notice is required as this may allow us to reuse your appointment time. If you cancel your appointment within 2 hours of the appointment time, or fail to attend appointments without notifying us, you will be charged the full consultation fee. Child health and CSC holder appointments will be charged at a full Doctor’s consultation fee.
We make every effort to run on time, but unfortunately unexpected emergencies and complex problems will sometimes cause delays. We thank you for your patience and understanding. Please check in with a receptionist on arrival. They may be able to estimate any waiting time.
These can be done for registered patients only. If you are a visitor or we have not prescribed the item before for you, you will need to see a doctor.
If you are a registered patient on regular medication, recommended practice is that we supply 3 months medication at a time and need to see you every second time (i.e. every 6 months). This allows for monitoring of your condition and the appropriateness of treatment.
You can order a repeat prescription on the ConnectMed patient portal, or by phoning the receptionist during clinic hours. Please
Your test results are important. The quickest and most convenient way to access them is by signing up for our patient portal – ConnectMed. This allows you to access your results on-line as soon as the doctor has reviewed them. Alternatively we can inform you about routine test results by text or by letter. If you wish to receive your results by text (which is much quicker than mail) please ensure that we have your up-to-date mobile number. We will phone you with urgent results. Please ring the nurse if you do not receive notification of your results within 2 weeks.
